Over time, intarsia intarsia became a lost art; however in recent years, due to the modernization of man and equipment, intarsia again had become extremly popular, due to Judy Gale Roberts and other intarsia artists.

A Intarsia will vary in the number of pieces from as few a twelve upward to well over 500. Each piece is hand cut using a bandsaw, or scroll saw, handsanded and shaped to match the next adjoing piece and glued to a luan backing.
